MANAUS, Aug. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Rio 2016 : Nigeria defeated Sweden by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Olympics group stage game on Sunday night at the Arena da Amazonia in Manaus.
All the action happened in the first half, with Sadiq goal in the 40th minute.
The result put the Nigerians top of Group B with 6 points. Sweden is third with one point. In their last game, Nigeria will meet second-placed Colombia at the Arena da Amazonia on August 10, while Sweden will face Japan.
