ENGLAND, Dec. 8, 2014 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 15: The Saints crashed to their 3rd consecutive defeat as they lost 2-1 against Manchester United.
Robin van Persie scored dual goals
Manchester United forward Robin van Persie opened the score in the 12th minute, before seeing Southampton catch up in the 31st minute thanks to Graziano Pellè. 1-1 at half time. The Red Devils eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Van Persie in the 71st minute.
Manchester United FC climbed to third place with 28 points from 15 games, 5 points behind Manchester City FC.
