Premier League (Week 21) : Chelsea defeats Newcastle 2-0
ENGLAND, Jan. 10, 2015 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 21: After losing 5-3 to Tottenham on January 1, the Blues returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle this Saturday.
Chelsea dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian midfielder Oscar in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blues further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Costa in the 59th minute.
Chelsea remains in first place with 49 points from 21 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Manchester City FC.
