ENGLAND, Mar. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 28: After their 0-0 draw against Watford on February 27, the Cherries returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Southampton this Tuesday.
Bournemouth dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Steve Cook in the 31st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cherries further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Afobe in the 79th minute.
Southampton are down in 7th place with 40 points from 28 games, tie on points with West Ham United, which has two games in hand.
