Premier League (Week 1) : Boro and Stoke City play out 1-1 draw
ENGLAND, Aug. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Premier League: Middlesbrough and Stoke City opened the 2016-2017 season with an entertaining 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Middlesbrough players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Spanish forward Álvaro Negredo in the 11th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Stoke City with a saving goal from Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri in the 67th minute.
