Premier League (Week 23) : Swansea beats Southampton 2-1
ENGLAND, Jan. 31, 2017 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 23: Two wins in a row for Swansea. After their 2-3 win against Liverpool on January 21, Swansea continued their sensational form in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Southampton this Tuesday.
Swansea dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Mawson Alfie in the 38th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Swansea players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sigurðsson in the 70th minute.
Southampton are down in 12nd place with 27 points from 23 games, one point behind West Ham United, which has a game in hand.
