Primeira Liga (Week 29) : Sporting defeats Maritimo 3-1

PORTUGAL, Apr. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 29: Four wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Estoril, Arouca and Belenenses, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-1 victory over Maritimo this Saturday.

Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gutierrez Teofilo in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Carvalho William '53 and Slimani '76).

Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in second place with 71 points from 29 games, 2 points behind SL Benfica.
