Primeira Liga (Week 16) : Sporting beats Setubal 6-0
PORTUGAL, Jan. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 16: Two wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their 2-0 win against Porto on January 2, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 6-0 victory over Vitoria Setubal this Wednesday.
Islam Slimani and Cesar Bruno scored dual goals
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Slimani ('18) and Cesar Bruno ('42). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Slimani '52, Mario Joao '58, Cesar Bruno '61 and Aquilani '85).
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in first place with 41 points from 16 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up SL Benfica.
