PORTUGAL, Jan. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 15: After 6 straigth victories against Vitoria Setubal, Tondela, União da Madeira, Paços de Ferreira, Nacional and Académica Coimbra, the Dragons lost 2-0 against Sporting Lisbon.
Islam Slimani scored dual goals
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Algerian forward Islam Slimani in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Slimani with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to first place with 38 points from 15 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up FC Porto.
