PORTUGAL, Jan. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 15: Two wins in a row for Benfica. After their 3-1 win against Rio Ave on December 20, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 1-0 victory over Vitoria Guimaraes this Saturday.
Vitoria Guimaraes made Benfica doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Sanches Renato in the 74th minute.
SL Benfica remains in third place with 34 points from 15 games, one point behind Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
