PORTUGAL, Dec. 20, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 14: After their 0-0 draw against União da Madeira on December 15, the Eagles returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Rio Ave this Sunday.
Jonas Congalves scored dual goals
Benfica forward Jonas Congalves opened the score in the 4th minute, before seeing Rio Ave catch up in the 13th minute thanks to Bressan Renan. 1-1 at half time. The Eagles eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Jonas Congalves ('81) and Jimenez Raul ('83).
SL Benfica remains in third place with 31 points from 14 games, 2 points behind FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
