Primeira Liga (Week 13) : Rio Ave beats Arouca 3-1
PORTUGAL, Dec. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 13: After three straigth defeats, Rio Grande returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Arouca this Saturday.
Rio Ave dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Cape Verdean defender Gege in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rio Grande further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Marcelo Dos Santos '57 and Novais Joao '79).
Rio Ave FC climbed to fifth place with 21 points from 13 games, tie on points with SG Braga, which has a game in hand.
