Primeira Liga (Week 14) : Porto defeats Académica 3-1
PORTUGAL, Dec. 20, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 14: 6 wins in a row for Porto. After their success against Vitoria Setubal, Tondela, União da Madeira, Paços de Ferreira and Nacional, the Dragons continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-1 victory over Académica Coimbra this Sunday.
Porto dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Pereira Danilo in the 7th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Dragons further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Aboubakar '54 and Herrera '72).
FC Porto climbed to first place with 36 points from 14 games, one point ahead of runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal.
