Primeira Liga (Week 17) : Sporting beats Braga 3-2
PORTUGAL, Jan. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 17: Three wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Porto and Vitoria Setubal, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-2 victory over Braga this Sunday.
Braga had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Eduardo Wilson ('41) and Silva Rafa ('45). Trailing 2-0 at half time, the Sportinguistas nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Silva Adrien '57 on penalty, Montero Fredy '76 and Slimani '90).
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in first place with 44 points from 17 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up SL Benfica, which has a game in hand.
