Primeira Liga (Week 17) : Académica defeats Tondela 2-1
PORTUGAL, Jan. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 17: After losing 3-0 to Braga on January 6, Os Estudantes returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Tondela this Sunday.
Tondela had started off well by taking the lead in the 10th minute with a goal by Murillo Jhon. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Os Estudantes nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Lopes Rafael '67 and Sêco '85).
Académica Coimbra remains in 16th place with 16 points from 17 games, one point behind União da Madeira.
