PORTUGAL, Jan. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 17: Four wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Rio Ave, Vitoria Guimaraes and Maritimo, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 4-1 victory over Nacional this Monday.
Jonas Congalves scored tripple goals
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Jonas Congalves in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Jonas Congalves '57, '63 and Mitroglou Kostas '89).
SL Benfica remains in second place with 40 points from 17 games, 4 points behind Sporting Clube de Portugal.
