Primeira Liga (Week 18) : Benfica beats Estoril 2-1
PORTUGAL, Jan. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 18: Five wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Rio Ave, Vitoria Guimaraes, Maritimo and Nacional, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-1 victory over Estoril this Saturday.
Estoril had started off well by taking the lead in the 11th minute with a goal by Brazilian forward Léo Bonatini. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Eagles nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Mitroglou Kostas '52 and Pizzi '67).
SL Benfica remains in second place with 43 points from 18 games, 2 points behind Sporting Clube de Portugal.
