Primeira Liga (Week 18) : Moreirense beats Arouca 2-1
PORTUGAL, Jan. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 18: After losing 3-4 to Vitoria Guimaraes on January 10 and 5-1 to Maritimo on January 10, the Verdes-e-Brancos bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Arouca this Sunday.
Arouca midfielder Simao David opened the score in the 16th minute on penalty, before seeing Moreirense catch up in the 24th minute thanks to Sagna Pierre. 1-1 at half time. The Verdes-e-Brancos eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Gomes Vitor on penalty in stoppage time.
Arouquenses remains in 7th place with 24 points from 18 games, one point behind Rio Ave FC.
