Primeira Liga (Week 16) : Paços de Ferreira defeats Tondela 2-0
PORTUGAL, Jan. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 16: After their 1-1 draw against Braga on January 2 and 2-2 draw against Belenenses on January 2, the Beavers returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Tondela this Wednesday.
Paços de Ferreira dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Bruno Moreira in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Beavers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Jota with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.
FC Paços de Ferreira climbed to fifth place with 25 points from 16 games, only one point behind SG Braga, which has a game in hand.
