Primeira Liga (Week 16) : Arouca beats Tondela 2-1
PORTUGAL, Jan. 8, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 16: After losing 0-1 to Vitoria Guimaraes on December 23, Arouca returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Tondela this Sunday.
Arouca dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gonzalez Walter in the 5th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Arouca players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Intima Jorginho in the 63rd minute.
Arouquenses climbed to 9th place with 20 points from 16 games, 3 points behind CS Maritimo.
