PORTUGAL, Aug. 12, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 2: Two wins in a row for Rio Ave. After their 1-0 win against Belenenses on August 7, Rio Grande continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-1 victory over Boavista this Saturday.
Rio Ave dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Guedes Helder in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rio Grande further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Moreira Pedro with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Rio Ave FC climbed to second place with 6 points from 2 games, tie on points with Sporting Clube de Portugal.
