PORTUGAL, Aug. 18, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 3: Three wins in a row for Rio Ave. After their success against Belenenses and Boavista, Rio Grande continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-0 victory over Portimonense this Friday.
Portimonense made Rio Ave doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Barreto Oscar ('50) and Guedes Helder ('67).
Rio Ave FC climbed to first place with 9 points from 3 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
