PORTUGAL, Aug. 11, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 2: Two wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their 0-2 win against Aves on August 6, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 1-0 victory over Vitoria Setubal this Friday.
Vitoria Setubal made Sporting Lisbon doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Dutch forward Bas Dost on penalty with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to first place with 6 points from 2 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
