Primeira Liga (Week 4) : Sporting beats Estoril 2-1
PORTUGAL, Aug. 27, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 4: Four wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Aves, Vitoria Setubal and Vitoria Guimaraes, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-1 victory over Estoril this Sunday.
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Martins Gelson ('4) and Fernandes Bruno ('11). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to first place with 12 points from 4 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up SL Benfica.
