SPAIN, Dec. 19, 2015 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 18: After their 1-1 draw against Alcorcon on December 12, Los Babazorros bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Ponferradina this Saturday.
Ponferradina made Alavés doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Toquero Gaizka in the 60th minute.
Deportivo Alavés climbed to first place with 33 points from 18 games, tie on points with runner-up Cordoba CF.
