SPAIN, Oct. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 8: After their 0-0 draw against Almeria on September 24, El Luguiño bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Mallorca this Saturday.
Joselu Barroso scored dual goals
Mallorca opened the score in the score in the 6th minute thanks to Thomas Brandon, before Lugo regained the advantage with Pita Carlos ('14) and Joselu Barroso ('28). Leading 2-1 at the break, El Luguiño further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Joselu Barroso in the 75th minute.
CD Lugo climbed to first place with 13 points from 7 games, tie on points with runner-up Levante UD, which has a game in hand.
