Segunda division (Week 21) : Numancia defeats Mirandés 3-0
SPAIN, Jan. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 21: After their 0-0 draw against Huesca on January 6, Los Numantinos returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Mirandés this Saturday.
Numancia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Alvarez Julio in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Numantinos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ortiz Alex '79/own and Escassi Alberto '81).
CD Numancia climbed to fourth place with 26 points from 17 games, only one point behind Getafe CF, which has a game in hand.
