Segunda division (Week 21) : Girona defeats Cordoba 2-0
SPAIN, Jan. 15, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 21: Three wins in a row for Girona. After their success against Gimnastic de Tarragona and Zaragoza, the Blanquivermells continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-0 victory over Cordoba this Sunday.
Girona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Sandaza Fran in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blanquivermells further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Portu Cristian in the 53rd minute.
Girona FC remains in second place with 31 points from 17 games, 5 points behind Levante UD.
