Segunda division (Week 3) : Gijon beats Gimnastic 4-0
SPAIN, Sep. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 3: Two wins in a row for Sporting Gijon. After their 2-0 win against Lugo on August 27, Los Rojiblancos continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 4-0 victory over Gimnastic de Tarragona this Saturday.
Sporting Gijon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Molina Xavi ('8 own), Scepovic Stefan ('15) and Garcia Ruben ('45). Leading 3-0 at the break, Los Rojiblancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Santos Michael on penalty in the 63rd minute.
Real Sporting de Gijon climbed to first place with 7 points from 3 games, tie on points with runner-up CD Numancia.
