SPAIN, Oct. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Sporting Gijon. After their 3-0 win against Sevilla Atletico on October 7, Los Rojiblancos continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-0 victory over Cultural Leonesa this Tuesday.
Cultural Leonesa made Sporting Gijon doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Alvarez Sergio ('65) and Bergantinos Alex ('66).
Real Sporting de Gijon climbed to first place with 17 points from 9 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up CA Osasuna, which has a game in hand.
