ITALY, Sep. 20, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 3: The match between Cesena and Empoli ended in a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
Cesena players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Marilungo ('30) and Defrel ('32). However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Empoli with goals by Francesco Tavano ('55 on penalty) and Daniele Rugani ('72).
AC Cesena climbed to 8th place with 4 points from 3 games, tie on points with Atalanta BC and Hellas Verona.
