ITALY, Oct. 29, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 9: After their 0-0 draw against Sampdoria on October 25, the Giallorossi returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Cesena this Wednesday.
AS Roma dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Mattia Destro in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Giallorossi further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by De Rossi with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
AS Roma climbed to first place with 22 points from 9 games, a 6-point lead over runner-up AC Milan.
