Serie A (Week 9) : Sassuolo defeats Empoli 3-1
ITALY, Oct. 28, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Sassuolo. After their 1-3 win against Parma on October 25, the Neroverdi continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 3-1 victory over Empoli this Tuesday.
Empoli had started off well by taking the lead in the 18th minute with a goal by midfielder Daniele Croce. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Neroverdi nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Missiroli '56, Floccari '61 and Berardi '73).
US Sassuolo Calcio climbed to 12nd place with 10 points from 9 games, tie on points with ACF Fiorentina, which has a game in hand.
