Serie A (Week 24) : Empoli defeats Chievo 3-0
ITALY, Feb. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 24: After their 1-1 draw against AC Milan on February 15, the Azzurri bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Chievo this Sunday.
Massimo Maccarone scored dual goals
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Daniele Rugani in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Maccarone '46, '67).
Empoli FC remains in 14th place with 27 points from 24 games, one point behind Udinese, which has a game in hand.
