Serie A (Week 25) : Lazio defeats Verona 5-2
ITALY, Feb. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 25: After their 0-0 draw against Genoa on February 6, the Biancocelesti returned to winning ways with a 5-2 victory over Hellas Verona this Thursday.
Lazio dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Alessandro Matri in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Biancocelesti further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Mauri '50, Anderson Felipe '69, Keita Diao '82 and Candreva '90/penalty).
Lazio climbed to 7th place with 36 points from 25 games, 4 points behind AC Milan, which has a game in hand.
