Serie A (Week 36) : Palermo beats Samp 2-0
ITALY, May. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 36: Two wins in a row for Palermo. After their 0-2 win against Frosinone on April 24, the Rosanero continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Sampdoria this Sunday.
Palermo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine midfielder Franco Vázquez in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Rosanero further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Krstičić into his own net with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
UC Sampdoria are down in 15th place with 40 points from 36 games, one point behind Bologna FC 1909.
