Serie A (Week 3) : Empoli beats Crotone 2-1
ITALY, Sep. 12, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 3: After losing 0-1 to Sampdoria on August 28 and 2-0 to Udinese on August 28, the Azzurri returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Crotone this Monday.
Empoli defender Giuseppe Bellusci opened the score in the 31st minute, before seeing Crotone catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Mario Sampirisi. 1-1 at half time. The Azzurri eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Costa in the 56th minute.
Empoli FC climbed to 16th place with 3 points from 3 games, tie on points with AC Milan.
