Serie A : Napoli finish third after beating Sampdoria
ITALY, May. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 38: Five wins in a row for Napoli. After their success against Inter Milan, Cagliari, Torino and Fiorentina, the Partenopei continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 4-2 victory over Sampdoria this Sunday.
Napoli dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mertens ('36) and Insigne ('42). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Partenopei further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Hamsik '49 and Callejon Jose '65).
