Serie A (Week 23) : Napoli defeats Bologna 7-1
ITALY, Feb. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 23: After their 1-1 draw against Palermo on January 29, the Partenopei returned to winning ways with a 7-1 victory over Bologna this Saturday.
Marek Hamsik and Dries Mertens scored tripple goals
Napoli dominated the first half thanks to goals from Hamsik ('4), Insigne ('6) and Mertens ('33, '43). Leading 4-1 at the break, the Partenopei further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Hamsik '70, '74 and Mertens '90).
Napoli climbed to second place with 48 points from 23 games, 3 points behind Juventus, which has two games in hand.
