Serie B (Week 39) : Cesena defeats Pro Vercelli 2-1
ITALY, May. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 39: After losing 2-1 to Trapani on April 23, the Cavallucci Marini returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Pro Vercelli this Monday.
Cesena dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Kessie Ammonito in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cavallucci Marini further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Falco Filippo in the 70th minute.
AC Cesena climbed to 7th place with 61 points from 39 games, only one point behind Spezia Calcio.
