Serie B (Week 9) : Pro Vercelli beats Novara 2-1
ITALY, Oct. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Pro Vercelli. After their 1-0 win against Ternana on October 9, the Bianche Casacche continued their sensational form in the Serie B with a 2-1 victory over Novara this Sunday.
Novara had started off well by taking the lead in the 37th minute with a goal by Sansone Gianluca. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Bianche Casacche nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (La Mantia Andrea '67 and Emmanuello Simone '90).
FC Pro Vercelli 1892 climbed to 12nd place with 12 points from 9 games, tie on points with AC Pisa.
