Serie B (Week 9) : Verona defeats Ascoli 4-1
ITALY, Oct. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 9: After their 2-2 draw against Brescia on October 9, the Gialloblu returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Ascoli this Saturday.
Pazzini Giampaolo scored dual goals
Hellas Verona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Pazzini Giampaolo in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Gialloblu further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Zaccagni Mattia '64, Bessa Daniel '83 and Pazzini Giampaolo '89).
Hellas Verona climbed to first place with 20 points from 9 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up AS Cittadella.
