Serie B (Week 15) : Empoli beats Cesena 5-3
ITALY, Nov. 18, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 15: After losing 2-1 to Pro Vercelli on November 11, the Azzurri returned to winning ways with a 5-3 victory over Cesena this Saturday.
Donnarumma Alfredo scored dual goals
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Donnarumma Alfredo in the 14th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Donnarumma Alfredo '59/penalty, Caputo Francesco '72, Zajc Miha '85 and Krunic Rade '87).
Empoli FC climbed to 6th place with 24 points from 15 games, only one point behind Venezia FC.
