MONTEVIDEO, Jul. 20, 1930 (AMP) — Uruguay 1930 : Brazil defeated Bolivia by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo.
Moderato and Preguinho scored dual goals
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Moderato in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Preguinho '57, '83 and Moderato '73).
