Mar. 27, 1985 (AMP) — Mexico 86 (Asian Qualifiers) : Qatar defeated Lebanon by a big score of 8-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a World Cup qualifying game on Wednesday.

The result put the Qatari top of Group 2 with 4 points. Lebanon is bottom with no points. In their next game, Qatar will meet second-placed Iraq on April 5.
