Japan and Iran qualify for the final stage
JOHOR BAHRU, Nov. 16, 1997 (AMP) — France 98 (Asian Qualifiers) : Japan defeated Iran 3-2 after extra time, in the first leg of a qualifying game on Sunday night. Japan and Iran both qualify for the 1998 FIFA World Cup tournament.
