TOKYO, Jun. 22, 1997 (AMP) — France 98 (Asian Qualifiers) : Japan defeated Macau by a big score of 10-0 (halftime: 6-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night.
The result put the Japanese top of Group 4 with 12 points. Macau is bottom with one point. In their next game, Japan will meet third-placed Nepal on June 25, while Macau will face Oman.
