SEOUL, Oct. 4, 1997 (AMP) — France 98 (Asian Qualifiers) : South Korea defeated the United Arab Emirates by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Koreans top of Group B with 12 points. UAE is second with 7 points. In their next game, South Korea will meet Kazakhstan on October 11, while the United Arab Emirates will face Kazakhstan.
