NOUAKCHOTT, Jun. 7, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (African Qualifiers) : Morocco defeated Mauritania by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Moroccans top of Group 8 with 3 points. Mauritania is bottom with no points. In their next game, Morocco will meet second-placed Rwanda on June 14, while Mauritania will face Rwanda.
