GERMANY, Feb. 26, 2016 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 23: After losing 3-0 to RB Leipzig on February 19, Union Berlin returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Karlsruher SC this Friday.
Karlsruher SC midfielder Hiroki Yamada opened the score in the 31st minute, before seeing Union Berlin catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Felix Kroos. 1-1 at half time. Union Berlin eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Traut into his own net in the 60th minute.
1. FC Union Berlin climbed to 9th place with 30 points from 23 games, only one point behind 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which has a game in hand.
